At Litchi Tech, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This Returns & Refunds Policy is in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) of South Africa. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.

What We Accept for Return

Accepted Returns

  • Defective or faulty products
  • Items damaged on arrival
  • Wrong item delivered
  • Item not as described
  • Incomplete order (missing parts)

Not Accepted

  • Change of mind returns
  • Items damaged by misuse
  • Items without original packaging
  • Returns after 7 days of delivery
  • Software, digital downloads

Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:

  • The return request must be submitted within 7 days of receiving your order
  • The item must be in its original packaging, including all accessories, manuals, and cables
  • The item must not show signs of physical damage caused by the customer
  • Proof of purchase (order number or confirmation email) must be provided
  • The item must not have been used beyond what is necessary to assess the defect

How to Request a Return

Contact Us

Email [email protected] with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos of the defect or damage.

Approval

We will review your request within 2 business days and notify you whether your return has been approved.

Ship the Item

If approved, we will provide return shipping instructions. Pack the item securely in its original packaging.

Inspection

Once we receive the returned item, we will inspect it within 3 business days.

Resolution

We will offer a replacement, store credit, or full refund depending on the situation and your preference.

Refunds

Once your return is approved and the item has been received and inspected, we will process your refund:

  • Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days of approval
  • Refunds are made to the original payment method used (PayFast)
  • Bank transfers may take an additional 1–3 business days to reflect
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error

Warranty Claims

Products sold by Litchi Tech carry the manufacturer's warranty. If your product develops a fault after the 7-day return window but within the manufacturer's warranty period, please contact us and we will assist you in lodging a warranty claim with the supplier. Warranty terms vary by product and manufacturer.

Consumer Protection Act Rights

In terms of Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act, if a product is defective, you are entitled to return it within 6 months of delivery for a repair, replacement, or refund. We will honour these rights in full. If you believe your rights under the CPA have been violated, you may also contact the National Consumer Commission at www.thencc.gov.za.
